I'm not very happy that I've just seen the electric boat at full speed head towards 5 swans up the back of prince of Wales and not even bother to slow down. He's literally washing the banks away with the waves he's leaving behind him as he passes at full speed. He needs to have respect for nature. And the people fishing. I used to be a member along with a few other people who fish. But what's the point of paying for one when the electric boat is a joke. He stops me and so many others fishing the royal military. It could be a profitable place because I no so many others are moaning

Yes Steve the you can just get a day ticket from the bailiff on the bank, He came along on his bike a couple of weeks ago when I was doing an evening session he's a friendly guy and I'm sure will give you any tips or advice if needed!

Hi guys, I'm a non-member thinking of coming down to the canal to fish next week. I have my rod licence but how do I get the day pass from the Society? Do I just set up in a spot and wait for a bailiff to come along or is there a particular place where I can find them to get a day pass?

The carp come out in loads of spots so I would pick a spot and bait up. You just need to put the hours in really.I haven't had much success lately but I haven't fished for them that much recently, I've just been picking a random spot and setting up for a few hours. My most recent carp have been through stalking them.They usually show their self though especially this time of year so keep your eye out. I've seen a lot more people fishing for the carp over the last few years so I reckon quite a lot of bait is going in anyway!

Hi Ash. Assume you mean the stretch west of the Dam - between West Hythe and Giggers Green. Currently, it is back up to full Summer level and nowhere near as muddy. But any considerable rainfall (like we had last night!) is likely to quickly change that.
